At Poppy, we say goodbye to middlemen and create your custom teeth night guard for hundreds of dollars less than a normal dentist’s price. Everything from production to delivery is handled in-house by our experts to help provide you with the best price without giving up on the quality.
How is Poppy different from over-the-counter night guards?
The typical "Boil and bite" night guards you find at a pharmacy are advertised as a one-size-fits-all solution, however many people find them uncomfortable and give up on wearing them. Poppy guards are made using only the best materials and is custom-made to you, ensuring you get the most comfort and protection.
How does the Poppy Club work?
Poppy Club is our unique service, where you get a new night guard every six months for only $59 — a fraction of the original cost. When you place your Poppy Club order, you lock in the price of $59 for new night guards for life, which means you will never have to pay full price for a new night guard again. You never need to retake your impressions (unless you have dental work done and need to retake them). You can skip, pause, or change the frequency of when you want to get new night guards anytime. Why do I need a new night guard every 6 months?
The build-up of bacteria and plaque is inevitable with any night guard, plus they can gradually wear down. We want to help prevent cavities and comfort issues, which is why we offer Poppy Club where you can receive a new night guard every six months.
If I join the Poppy Club, can I cancel?
Of course and we understand circumstances change. If you would like to cancel, simply contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Does Poppy have a money-back guarantee?
With Poppy's 45-Night Perfect Fit Guarantee, if you experience any fit issues, you can rest easy knowing that Remi team will work with you to get the fit just right. Simply contact us within 45 days of receiving your night guards with photo and a brief description and we will work hard to make the fit just right or send out a new impression kit as necessary.
What are Poppy night guards made of?
Poppy night guards are made of BPA-free, dental-grade, hard-soft 1mm plastic. Each set is specially designed, ensuring ultimate protection on the outside and comfort on the inside. We create the thinnest and most comfortable custom night guards.
If I am a heavy grinder, can I get a thicker night guard?
Yes, upon request we can accommodate either 1.3mm or 2mm night mouth guards. Just let our team know! Download our Customer Information Card with the different thickness available.
Do I need top AND bottom night guards? Can I get two of the same kind?
You only need to wear either a top or bottom night guard at once. We want you to find the one that you prefer to sleep with, which is why every customer gets a top and bottom teeth grinding mouth guard by default. However, if you already have a preference, we’ll be happy to provide you with two of the same kind.
How do I take my impressions?
Your at-home Poppy night guard or whitening kit will include step-by-step instructions to make the process simple. You receive two impression trays and putty. Simply spread the putty into a tray and bite down for 4-5 minutes. It’s then ready to send off in the pre-paid box we provided you with.
What if I make a mistake while taking my impressions?
Don’t worry if you make a mistake - we’ve already thought of a solution! We provide two sets of everything for your impressions, in case you need to try again. If you’re unsure, just email a photo to hello@poppyhealth.com and our team will respond within 24-48 hours. If you need more supplies, just let us know.
How long does it take to get my night guard after I place my order?
Once we receive your impression kit, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Due to COVID-19, we have implemented extra sterilization steps to ensure the safety of our customers. As a result, your night guard for teeth will arrive approximately two weeks after the confirmation email.
What if my night guard does not fit?
We are dedicated to providing you with the perfect night guard, which is why we have a 45-night perfect fit guarantee. If you are unhappy for any reason or need new impressions sent to you, simply email us, and we’ll be happy to help.
Is Poppy right for me?
If you want to reduce teeth damage from grinding and do not want to pay hundreds of dollars for a custom night guard, yes! Poppy is right for you.
Can I buy this for my child? My child is grinding their teeth? Will this work for my kid?
At this moment Remi does not create night guards for children. Although a custom guard might provide temporary relief, It may cause serious issues in the long run. We do this for their protection because any custom guard may hinder the normal growth and development of a child's teeth and jaw. We sincerely hope you are able to find a solution, please do reach out to us when your child has all their permanent teeth.

How long do retainers last?
Poppy Custom clear retainers typically last between 6 months to a few years, depending on factors like wear and care, individual habits, and maintenance. It's important to follow and practice good oral hygiene, and take proper care of the retainers to extend their lifespan and replace them when they begin to experience wear and tear. Contact us for help to determine if it's time for replacements.
Will a retainer from Poppy straighten my teeth?
No it will not, while a retainer won't straighten your teeth on its own, it plays a crucial role in maintaining the alignment of your teeth after orthodontic treatment. Retainers help prevent your teeth from shifting back to their original positions, ensuring that your beautiful smile stays in place.
Are retainers used forever?
Retainers are typically not used forever, but they play an important role in maintaining the alignment of your teeth after orthodontic treatment. Initially, you may need to wear your retainer consistently for a certain period as recommended by your orthodontist. Over time, as your teeth stabilize, the wearing schedule may be adjusted, most remi customers wear our retainers nightly.
What Does a Retainer Do?
A retainer is a dental appliance that does an important job: it helps preserve the beautiful alignment of your teeth after orthodontic treatment. By wearing a retainer, you can ensure that your teeth stay in their desired positions, allowing you to enjoy a confident and radiant smile for years to come.
Can I eat with my retainers?
It's generally recommended to remove your retainers before eating. This helps protect them from damage and keeps your retainers clean. By taking a brief break from wearing your retainers during meals, you can fully enjoy your food without any worries. Remember to store your retainers in their case to keep them safe while you eat.
Will I talk with a lisp forever?
Don't worry! The lisping sensation with a retainer is usually temporary. As you get used to wearing it, your speech will adjust and return to normal. Soon enough, you'll be speaking naturally and confidently with your retainer in place.
How are tooth retainers fitted?
With the Poppy at-home kit retainers, you'll receive materials to make an impression of your teeth. Just follow the instructions to mix and place the putty in the provided trays, bite down, and let it set. Then, you'll send the impression back to Poppy and we will create custom retainers based on your teeth and send them back to you. It's a convenient way to get retainers.
Do they hurt?
Removable retainers may cause some initial discomfort or sensitivity, but they should not be painful. Any discomfort typically diminishes within a few days as you get used to wearing them.
What if my retainer breaks?
If your removable retainer breaks, avoid trying to fix it yourself. To ensure the best outcome reach out to Poppy and we will add another Poppy Retainer to the lineup for you immediately.
What if I lose my retainer?
If you lose your retainer, it's important to contact Poppy as soon as possible. We can provide guidance on the next steps. In most cases we keep your impressions on file and a replacement retainer will need to be made. It's crucial to address the situation promptly to prevent any shifting of your teeth. Avoid delaying the retainer replacement to maintain the correct alignment.
My retainer no longer fits. What should I do?
If your retainer no longer fits properly, it's essential to contact Poppy immediately, we may recommend remaking your retainers or sending out another impression kit for the creation of a new retainer. It's important to address the issue promptly to prevent any further changes to the alignment of your teeth.
How much do replacement retainers cost?
The cost of replacement retainers can vary depending on various factors such as the type of retainer, your location, and your dental provider. On average, the cost of replacement retainers can range from $100 to $400 or more per retainer. However Poppy retainer replacement costs only $59 for a set when you join the club.
